The Art of Drawing by Anthony Freddes
Period 6
The art of drawing it starts with a sketch,
Then blooms into something much bigger.
A dog playing fetch, a kid playing catch,
No matter the image it begins with a sketch.
It might take awhile but be patient,
It will eventually come to be.
That masterpiece that sketch that once was,
Now is a beautiful and wonderful piece.
Lets not jump ahead though,
One step at a time.
After the sketch comes the vision of life,
Not your life but the life of your art.
This vision comes not from the mind,
It comes from the heart.
The vision is needed to complete that plain sketch,
Once you have it your ready to move on.
The process continues as you complete each step,
One after another, one by one.
Erasing, shading, smudging, restarting,
The typical frustrations when enhancing your sketch.
But don’t give up keep the vision in sight,
Because it eventually it pays off and your sketch is a drawing,
Your sketch is alive!
The art is not the sketch you create,
Its how you create it and bring it to life.

Poetry is Random
Poetry is Random
Why do poems have to be so hard to write,
when all I want is that idea light.
When you need to be writing but nothing rings a bell,
you think of something random like your big garage sale.
You sit there and think and you dream and you dream and holy crap there's a clown.
There's one of those randoms that pops into your head,
even late at night while lying in bed.
Poetry's hard but never lose hope,
because the next thing you know you might write about soap.

Bad poetry
Bad Bad Poetry
Anthony Freddes
Period 6
Poetry, poetry
oh sweet poetry.
Poems, poems
I write them at home.
Poets, poets
they write and they write.
I rhyme, I rhyme
It ain't no crime.
I'm a poet and I didn't even know it.

My Inner Poet
The Poet Inside of Me!
I wont feed you a lie
My inner poet is shy.
He feels the things he writes and the things he says,
He lets people judge him but doesn't take it to heart
because he knows they're not right.
The poet in me has a mind of its own
sometimes it lets free but others it wont.
He thinks and thinks about simple little things
but turns them into larger than life ideas.
Well there it is
as simple as can be
there is no other way to say that,
There's a poet inside of me.
